  Minecraft is a sandbox video game created by Swedish developer Markus 'Notch' Persson and later purchased by Microsoft in 2014. The game allows players to construct virtual environments in which they can freely roam without limits. Players can build anything from the ground up or - in the game's survival mode - can mine materials and create tools to survive in the world. Many players play on multiple platforms, with Android, iOS, PC, Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game available.

 Minecraft is available on many different platforms. The PC version of the game is the most popular but is also available on Mac, Linux, Xbox One, PS4 and 3DS. They recently launched version 1.15.0 with many bug fixes and new features such as horses and iron crafting. They have also released regular updates for Android mobile devices and the Xbox 360 with additional content such as exclusive skins for their console versions. With so many platforms available, it's easy to see how Minecraft maintains such a high standards of quality across all versions of the game.

There are a variety of ways to play Minecraft without multiplayer. Some players use apps to play while they're away from home or on their smartphones. There's also a version that runs on a Raspberry Pi mini PC with minimal requirements such as a keyboard, monitor, computer mouse and internet connection. There's also a version for the PlayStation Vita handheld console that uses Bluetooth controls for mobile devices and comes with networking features allowing multiple players to join together on one machine.

 Minecraft is one of the most prolific games ever since it was first released nearly 10 years ago.
